   I am not large, and butt isn't huge but i do have a big butt, and i have the same problem. Obviously the back is going to be shorter because there is more to cover in back then in front lol. Let me know if you find a designer that caters to that lol.

   Because the butt makes the skirt go up where in the front stays the same. It doesn't necessarily happen to large women, but sometimes the back of a mini skirt is shorter than the front(probably made by a pervert or an urban designer)

   geez i woud have thought this was obvious. its because your ass sticks out further so the skirt has to cover more area than your front so the skirt becomes shorter.

   For some reason there is as much material in back as in the front. This doesn't make sense as obviously people need more room in the back than the front.

   It's because the butt hitches the skirt up. I find that it sometimes helps to speak to representatives at department stores or boutiques.
