Lol i love that episode! Oh, but as for your question, I would say just be confident in your style. Others who are not used to seeing such great fashion sense will look up to you– maybe you’ll set a trend!

Why don’t you try something that incorporates both looks?
Maybe wear a casual top, nice and dark jeans, and your favorite pair of heels. You’ll feel like you fit in, but you’ll still have your personal flair with you, and it won’t look like you’re trying too hard.

Here in Key West, FL – the attitude is shorts, tees and flip flops and although I love to be comfy – my girlfriends and I always dress nicd when we go out on the town. We get compliments – believe me, the men like to see women dressed nice – and we are always remembered. So just do it your way!!

I may not have such a passion for fashion, but I wear skirts/dresses when no one else do. Because I always wear skirts/dresses. Not for religious reasons or anything like that, but as a gift to my husband.

Where I live this is quite unusual, on a normal day I would guess that less than a tenth of my colleagues wear skirts. In the winter I am normally the only one in my neighborhood not wearing pants.

In the beginning this was the most difficult part by always wearing skirts, but it did not take long before both the others and my got used to my look. It the beginning I got some questions and comments – always positive – and some obviously considered to be inspired to do the same. I suspect some had to handle comments from their men with reference to my way of dressing.

I made two promises to myself: 1) No one should be able to talk me from doing what I wanted to do for my man. 2) Wearing skirts should not restrict me from doing anything I could do in pants.

I don't feel any problems now about being different, and my "investment" here surely pays of. I just had to make up my mind.

I am hoping you can muster the courage to stay with your style. Rest assure that you are right and all the others are wrong. Any negative response you might get because of your style is most likely due to envy.

My wife always wears skirts or dresses and she was concerned in the beginning that she might be frowned at for it. But she has never been. On the contrary, she is often praised for her feminine style.
