    don't know who it was, but it wasn't coco chanel

    she thought up the "small black dress", but a small black dress is knee-long, and "mini" is shorter than 45 cm i think

    should have been later than coco's time, i can't recall any associations of minis before the early 70's

    maybe it was YSL, but this is little more than a guess
