   Where did you hear this? I have travelled throughout southern Africa and have never come across any need for modest clothing, though I would equally not suggest to flash all your flesh. You will find they are very liberal, and you will be best just wearing whatever you feel most comfortable. I mainly travelled in loose trousers or shorts – both are fine
