    Some machine's gentle cycle is not really gentle enough. Unless you have hand-wash cycle, I wouldn't trust it. I guess you could hand wash, and air dry, but it will be a pain, I know. Try not to wash as much.

    There's this product called FRAY-CHECK and you applt this to the ends of your skirt before washing (allow to dry first). You get them in any fabric dept. or store. It works really well!

    You should hem it completely or if you have a sewing maching, do a stitch close to the end and that should stop it from freying more.

    Use a zig zag stitch on the sewing machine if you still want the worn look. I will stop it from fraying.
