How can I repair the damage to my silk wrap-skirt?

I accidentally put my silk skirt into the wash. I did not put it into the dryer, but it doesn’t matter. It’s stiff and crinkly. How can I fix this mistake?

It’s stiff because it dried without dryer sheets in a dryer, and its crinkly because it dried that way (this will happen to any fabric thats washed, and air dryed). If its not fraying and falling apart, I doubt that it’s ruined or anything, but re-wash it (or have it dry-cleaned) according to it’s cleaning instructions. It should be fine. If it was really expensive, or a favorite article of clothing, I’d call a professional cleaners and ask them what to do with it.

How to get an OIL stain out of my silk skirt?

Some massage oil was spilled on my white silk skirt 6 months ago and i just noticed it… the stain looks light yellow. I took the skirt to the dry cleaners, but no success! Any suggestions how I can get the stain out?

Make a paste of Dawn and baking soda. Apply it to the stain and let it sit for a couple of hours. Then handwash the item in Woolite or another mild detergent. Roll in a towel to dry.
