Where can I find colorful skirts? or really long boho flowy ones? wat shoes look good with skirts? which tops?

I’m starting school in September and our school uniform means we have to wear skirts that go to the knee. all the skirts i have are earth tones or black. i usually make a fashion statement outside of school (well jeans, colorful funky tshirts, chunky sneakers) and i have jean skirts but i was wondering any advice on how to make the same look work with skirts, and be casual enough for school. my schools realllyy chilled out. thanks so much!

What style skirt suits a person with a medium belly, and full hips and thighs?

What kind of casual skirt looks good if you have a medium belly, and full hips and thighs?

Well considering your shape I would go with a mid thigh to above the knee length skirt an a-line skirt would do good as well if fitted at your hips but flairs out toward the bottom to make them visually smaller:) and thing that flares out toward the bottom of the skirt would work wonder for your body shape and if you can find one in that length it would look perfect

Good luck and I hope this helps some I know your type b/c I too have them issues lol…. never do horizontal stripes either down there and and try to find things that have a nice flat pocket to them too that won’t bunch to make your hips and thighs thinner in appearance.. just remember fitted at hips above the knee length and flaring toward the bottom of the skirt

Can anyone please tell me a general rule for matching skirts and tops for a casual business workplace?

I like wearing knee length or longer printed skirts, not the tropical variety though . The problem is matching these to tops for the workplace.

Pick a color in the printed skirt and get a solid colored top that matches that color. If the print has several colors, you can pick several different solid colored tops to match each skirt. The fabric must match!

So if you are wearing cotton skirts, get cotton or cotton blend tops. Sweaters and jackets and over tops are a little trickier. Watch what others are wearing, since the styles change. But usually a solid neutral color works the best. Light colored neutral when you are wearing light colors, and dark colored neutrals when you are wearing dark colors.

When dressing in “business casual” attire, do you absolutely HAVE to wear pantyhose with a skirt clothing?

When dressing in “business casual” attire, do you absolutely HAVE to wear pantyhose with a Skirt Clothing?

I’m about to go out of town for a weekend seminar, and the event calls for business casual dress. I only have skirts to pack, but no pantyhose. Is it acceptable to not wear pantyhose if the skirts are a few inches below knee length, your legs are shaved and they have no blemishes or anything?

I guess whether pantyhose are a must or not depends on the environment of the seminar. It wouldn’t hurt to have a pair just in case as you’re better safe than sorry. Since your skirts are long enough, you can opt for thigh hi’s and nobody is ever the wiser.

What I suggest is to wear them the first day and if it is a casual environment, then you can go without.

Would I seem over dressed or odd if I started wearing slacks or casual skirts all the time instead of jeans?

I’m not rich and don’t go out much. But I’m sick of jeans. Or would it make me seem old?

Eh, I think you’d look nice and present yourself better. Yea its dressing up a bit but whats wrong with that. Jeans are nice too but if you want to change your style I think thats cool. Choosing to do something unique over what the crowd is doing is a good thing

Where can I find cute, modest, casual skirts?

My school doesn’t have a uniform, but we must wear jean or corduroy skirts in blue, navy, black, olive, beige and brown. The skirts can’t have slits.

I saw some cute ones at Wal mart last week. They had knee high and long ones, without the slits. They were olive, denim and beige. And of course, they were modest prices.
